time flies
well, if you're keeping track, our baby boy is 6 weeks old now. and i'm definitely starting to feel that whole - "it cannot have been that long, but how can it have only been that long?" feeling.
i'm sure that feeling will only increase as he gets older.
our house is ever so slowly getting ready for christmas. but, truth be told, our pumpkin from halloween is still sitting on our porch. other things are just more important this year.
most of our gifts for people have been ordered online, but they're all still sitting in their boxes in the office. gift-wrapping was on the list for today, but then our christmas cards came, so i decided to address them instead.
we do have our christmas tree, it's just not decorated yet. that's on the list for tonight.
keane is growing like crazy!
he's quite a handsome little boy, and he's as sweet as ever.
he's starting to get pretty chubby! he has dimples on his hands now, and what i like to call the "rubber band wrists." his eyes are also starting to get darker, but we'll see what color they end up.
he's pretty expressive - he smiles and scowls, and raises his eyebrows at things. he's often pretty focused and alert during his awake-times, and if he's in the right mood he'll tell stories.
our sweet boy :o) |
in other news, my fingers are crossed that i'll get to go for my first post-partum run tonight. today marks 6 weeks, and so, i'm going to test it out and see how i feel. granted, it's chilly and rainy today, but that's not going to stop me - i've been waiting for this for a while!
i hope you're enjoying this christmas season, no matter what stage of life you're in right now.
for unto us a child is born,
and his name shall be called
Immanuel
