For those of you who are wondering, I did not beat my desired time in the race on Saturday. I missed it by 18 measly seconds. 

However, I do comfort myself with the reality that there were over 37,000 participants and I probably had to dodge through about a third of them while running!

The only silver lining is I still came in within the top 5% of my age group and the top 6% (ish) overall.
