this friday morning

this week just flew by! i simply cannot believe it's already friday, and peter and i leave for brooklyn tomorrow. i love nyc, especially brooklyn, and i am uber excited to be heading back up there this year. we are going with a group of 25 - 19 of which are high school students. we have a whole bunch of fun stuff in the works, in addition to working on service projects every day.

delicious food will be consumed.
bagels, pizza, ice cream,
and hopefully another vietnamese steak sandwich to name a few.
work will be accomplished.
runs will be taken around prosperity park.
we'll watch a cyclones baseball game.
have a couple cookouts.
sight-see around the city.
ride the subway and walk everywhere.
learn more about the ministry of the brooklyn church project.

it will be good indeed.

this friday morning i woke up early, did some a.m. yoga and went for a run. i'm currently savoring my coffee and debating about what all to pack to take on our trip. there is soccer on in the background, and many thoughts running through my head.

for as much as i love traveling, i hate packing. just like everything else - packing is a process for me. peter is hoping that one day i'll be able to walk into our bedroom/closet, and emerge 15 minutes later with my bags packed, all ready to go. but it just doesn't work that way. at least not yet.

i digress.

i'm going to go try to finish packing, and you can enjoy some pictures from my/our previous trips to brooklyn.

[there are quite a few... it was hard to choose]

happy friday!

  1. I'm SO excited! And I totally understand about the thing how packing is a process. It usually takes me a good two days to pack. I'm leaving the house in an hour and I'm STILL not quite done!
