the height of summer

what a weekend! i know it's tuesday, but i didn't get home from my weekend visits until yesterday afternoon, so it very much feels like a monday to me.

this also means that i'm starting the week rather far behind. this morning has included catching up on a bit of sleep, cleaning up here and there, and starting some of the many things i need to do today. i haven't completed many of them since i keep getting distracted by all of the other things i need to do.

anyway, this weekend was quite fabulous. i haven't seen so many close friends that close together for a while, and it was so good to catch up with all of them!

i'm currently in the process of uploading all of the pictures i took at jess' shower. unfortunately, i quite neglected the rest of the weekend, and even failed to get a picture of jess and myself together. i'll share a few of my favorites with you anyway...

i feel like everyone is running around like crazy at this time of the year. people are realizing that summer is almost over and they didn't do everything they wanted to do, so it's time to do all of those things before it's too late.

i for one will be happy when the heat of summer is behind us, although i don't care to wish all the time away.

we still have a couple big and exciting trips coming up which means the next month or so will probably be as much of a whirlwind as the last couple.

goodness gracious, it's getting quite late. i need to make it to the grocery store, and a few other places before it gets much later, so that's that.
